Time to show the public that RM management can't even stick to an interim deal - any strikes between now and December 25th will be down to RM intransigence. They and their government :mfo masters will be to blame, and that won't sit well with Brown and co. By calling one or two strikes between now and then and making sure the reason is well known, we have a damn good opportunity to expose the liars on the RM board who exploit this business purely for their own financial gain.
If we strike then I will be on the gate but lets not fool ourselves that anyone but us is going to get the backlash from the public and media. :arrrghhh

100% yes. It was an absolute disgrace that the strikes were called off in the first place. The CWU must have a backbone made of jelly, just like all the loathsome strike breakers who broke the picket line.

The union have to call strikes again before xmas, most postman don't believe they should have called off the strikes but backed them, get the strikes back on, i know from my office (myself included) they may not support strikes after the year. I know after the year i won't back the strikes (Yes i'll be a scab and i'm ashamed but most union members realise i'm in a different position as am intending to leave). And not work for 1 year.

Everyone should continue to strike and back the union.

Is this comment aimed at CWU membership.... or Royal Mail?

In the last few years we have gone along with all the changes wanted or imposed by Royal Mail, if any group of individuals are responsible for the destruction of the postal service here in the UK it must surely be the Royal Mail senior management, and a government that hasn't been able to value what it had, only what it might gain from selling us off.

The strikes shouldn't of been called off in the first place, let get back on the picket lines, until royal mail start listening to us and CWU leaders are you listening to us :hmmmm
