I'd rather my proposal to the problem was looked into as a viable solution, viz, issue all delivery staff with ex British armed forces Webley service revolvers......one growl from a mutt & 5 seconds I'd be on the blower to the local Korean restaurant!

You started off being chased by a dog!
Now the RSPCA are after you and the local Korean community :d'oh!
I would favor a postie tazer
you would need several thousand volts enough to immobilize a rottwieler but not fry a jack russel.
You don't need to call the RSPCA, I'm not being cruel.....one shot, one kill - job done. As for a postie tazer, why not a cattle prod? It'd be useful to deflect early rising chavs asking for their benefit - (chav)"Oi mate! Ave you got the giro for....." Bzzzzzzzzz " (postie) "Sorry, I can't hand mail to people in the street - cheerio!"
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

Mail delivery; those that can, do, those that can't, MANAGE!

I think the uniform attracts dogs full stop, with or without the hi-viz.

The owners of the business my wife works for have got a little Scottie dog, which is fine with me when I'm in 'civvies', but growls at me if ever I drop in there in uniform.
