Reinstate Royal Mail Strikes - Petition

I am thinking about signing this and will make my mind up overnight. However, here you are if you do want to.

"We believe that the CWU postal executive committee was wrong to call off strike action against Royal Mail on the basis of the 'Interim Agreement'. This agreement gains some concessions from Royal Mail but not nearly enough. It offers talks but who can trust Royal Mail management to act fairly? We believe that ending the strikes risks throwing away the pressure built up during weeks of local and regional strikes, and during the national strikes. Royal Mail will try to string out talks until January and then attack again when the level of mail posted is lower. Royal Mail has already shown that in the great majority of cases it is not going to withdraw executive action, end excessive workload, end impossible walks, reverse disciplinary action, and sack bullying managers. We call for the strikes to be reinstated as soon as possible. We urge CWU members to sign this petition and to give their union positions (if any). We recognise that many workers may fear disciplinary action, so we accept that people may wish to use their first names only, or pseudonyms on this petition."

Who is going to pay any attention to a petition supposedly signed by Ward, Crozier and Higson?
I love the idea of people not directly connected to this dispute voting for the strikes to be reinstated.

As I see it there are two sides in this dispute - The CWU and Royal Mail management.There is no third way and to quote Billy Bragg (as he appeared earlier) Which side are you on boys,which side are you on.No- the union is not perfect,no -the level of communication is not perfect,no -our reps are not always right.But now is not the time to be having that debate.Now is the time to be solidly behind those we elected to do the job.To do otherwise just plays into the hands of Royal Mail.There are far too many would-be generals.
Next time I get a ballot paper through my door,tell me if your name is on it and I promise to vote for you and I also promise that when you are in the middle of important negotiations I will not in any way try to undermine your position.
And lastly this petition (now 105 signatures) is pathetic.My guess is it has come from some SWP circle in which case the only question is - was it drafted before or after Bargain Hunt?And the left-leaning but liberal-minded "Cambridge cat lovers against the bomb say defend public services brigade" only get a say in whether we go back on strike after they have put several millions into a hardship fund for striking postal workers.

Disagree - Calling off (bottling) the Strikes just plays into the hands of Royal Mail.

We will be shafted after Christmas, no doubt.

This last campaign was do or die.

The CWU bottled it - in my opinion.

Now before anyone says it I'm not a negative person at all - just a realist.

So most of London have lost a grand + in wages just to get RM to agree to an agreement.
