Re: footwear
I wear the new cat shoes, have to wear 2 pair of socks with them (thin pair and thick pair of walking socks). My shoes are fine as I broke them in and always carry a spare pair of air max trainers in case my feet get sore. Colleague of mine ended up with no skin on her heels and had to work light duties for a week as she couldnt get shoes on her feet after waring the cat shoes.

Re: footwear
I find the cat trainers really comfy, but only wear them on a dry day. The rain pisses in, and then they're not comfy at all!
Going to order the cat boots aswell for rainy days.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: footwear
I can definately recommend these socks. Had a nightmare with hubby wearing through socks whilst at work, one day he had a brand new pair on and came home with massive holes in them. Bought some of the above from tesco at the start of the year and they're still going strong.
Whilst we're on the subject does anyone know if there's a limit on how many pairs of shoes you're allowed in a year. Hubby must walk on the outside of his feet so the heels end up being worn down only at one side, his current pair are so bad the royal mail badge has ended up falling off, and he's only had them about 6 months! He tries to keep them going as long as possible though as someone in the office told him you're only allowed one pair a year?

Re: footwear
like I've said I get new ones every couple of months. you have to order via manager though as uniform line only let you have one pair every two years. it's actually one of the good things my manager does I'm sure they gt grief everytime they ring. Better them than me!thecoffeehouse204 wrote:I can definately recommend these socks. Re: footwear
I'm using these http://www.clothingattesco.com/socks/F+ ... t/fk939102" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and they seem to be doing the trick at the moment as for how long the footware is supposed to last, mine get replaced every 3 months (or so) and I'll bring in the old ones and put them on the DOMs desk if he wants to argue about itthecoffeehouse204 wrote:I can definately recommend these socks.
