To be fair I did appreciate the humour of this post but given that is was posted by a female I was not sure how to respond. The homoeroticism gets lost and there were no lesbians in the Village People.(Apparently no gay men either). The joy of being old and chivalrous.bitchface wrote:well i still think weve been shagged up the arse with a large shovel so that billy and dave can get elected nect time, and im definatly leaving the union, and never bothering to strike again....
oh look im such a happy CAMPER.im in all of umm.lol![]()

I think sarcasm/facetiousness/humour all have their place otherwise how could I name group 2 after an early Joan Jett punk band or quote Violet Elizabeth, the lisping girl in Just William.Or maybe the cultural cross references just went over everyones head.
If I was good on computers I could post a picture of Violet but I bet someone else does.
A few years ago Roberto Carlos took a free kick for Brazil,I think against France in a friendly.(cue youtube link). The ball looks like it is going well wide and the ballboy even starts to move away but then it swerves viciously and ends up in the back of the net. Some of you,the minute it left his foot, would be going:He took a bribe;he sold us out;he took it up the bum.Sometimes to appreciate brilliance you have to wait a bit.
If you do not like football, the analogy works with that ball Shane Warne bowled to Gatting.(cue another youtube link.)
Personally I think the union have played a blinder.Yes we have taken our tanks off their lawn but we have only parked them round the corner. The post was not intended to have a go at militants. As someone whose political ideology was forged in the hands of Cubans in Sandinista Nicaragua I know a bit about militancy.I also know about Realpolitik. That comes with age and experience. That is why some of you need to grow up.
We need to remain on a war footing, not bleating like spoilt children. And if anyone finds that offensive - tough.
