Crikey peejay, no wonder your dom doesn't tolerate bullying against you .....you are a dream come true for him/her.
Another dozen like you in the office and he could sack two of your colleagues, and still manage the workload.
Never mind that though, you're okay, aren't you ..........
Of course he's OK, he's spent 100,000 words telling us he is. I think I know him better than my wife :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle

Personally Peejay should go even further and do blogs :hmmmm - he could be a cult star of the Internet :chuckle - he could do current affairs topics :chuckle Afghanistan - will this be our Vietnam ? - discuss :Very Happy , Quantitative Easing - The Bank of England , Peter & Jordan - Who's side are you on ?

I agree about the bit about a trigger happy DUM .

BUZZ OFF !
PJ it's rich and hypocritical of you to start throwing around the bullying/harrasment line when you have come out with posts like this. You actually use an obscene word in your post here wheras dvbuk55 only used the rather more innoffensive word 'crap'.

The difference between the challenges you are getting here and harrasment at work is that the worker usually has done nothing to invite it other than try to do a fair days work. You on the other hand have, you must admit, flooded this thread with narcissistic verbosity. You can walk away or ignore people any time you wish here but the bullied worker has no such safety net.

I tried not to be too inflammatory as is always the case and I am mortified that pj thinks I am a bully.

He's wrong. You can't call people bullies then 'bully' them back with even more extreme language.

He's just taken a lighthearted fairly harmless comment personally. If he had made sensible posts none of this would have blown up. He was politely advised by many to be brief but came back with another essay, it's no wonder he's had a backlash.

I feel sorry for any customers that stop him for a 'quick chat'.

Aye true, it's no wonder he goes in half an hour early and often goes over by an hour - we should just consider ourselves lucky we're not on his email list :Very Happy

I hope they make you work all those 5 minutes back. And i'm not sure bragging about smoking so much is going to feel too clever when you end up with some horrible disease.
In reverse order......I have no other vices, I like smoking, cancer runs in my family and show me someone that lives forever & I'll show you the world's latest non-smoker ( but who wants to live forever anyway? )

Are you really that tight you'd expect me to give back all those little five minutes? Fair enough, if they give me back all those 20mins MR not taken, all the 10hrs p/w and latterly 5hrs p/w of all bonus, overtime and other pro rata payments when I work 40+hrs p/w ( and while we are on it OT rates starting from the end of my contracted hrs, not when I worked over 40hrs )......I don't know how much I owe RM, but give me an accountant for a week and he might find enough discrepancies for me to retire. Now, do yourself a favour and stop talking like a screw - save it for tomorrow.
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

PJ it's rich and hypocritical of you to start throwing around the bullying/harrasment line when you have come out with posts like this. You actually use an obscene word in your post here wheras dvbuk55 only used the rather more innoffensive word 'crap'.

The difference between the challenges you are getting here and harrasment at work is that the worker usually has done nothing to invite it other than try to do a fair days work. You on the other hand have, you must admit, flooded this thread with narcissistic verbosity. You can walk away or ignore people any time you wish here but the bullied worker has no such safety net.
I swore because it was a reaction to being persistently ridiculed with the same comments repeated, as if I didn't quite 'get it' the first time. So what I typed 'sh!t', that is what I think his vacuous taunts are. My obscene language is not a reaction to a well put statement, it is a reaction to being assaulted repeatedly by inane and useless posts.

It was dvbuk55 who first conjured up the image of using hard copies of my posts to clean the sh!t from his arse, that my words were more worthy of being flushed down his toilet than anything he had excreted, and that since he had diarrhoea he actually was glad that I was continuing to post my comments... So can you see where I got my inspiration from, opgpat ? I didn't react the first time, I let his first humorous post go, but then it became less humorous and more like a childish impulse to hit someone when they appeared to be down, and to keep hitting them just to please the crowd.

It's ok if you want to take sides opgpat, but this is between me and dvbuk55. That I 'flooded this thread with narcissistic verbosity' in you words, is just your opinion, and to me your argument there in support of dvbuk55 is pretty weak. Up until the point that dvbuk55 irritated me, none of my many (many) words were in any way offensive to anyone, and I always tried to balance my views and try to explain why I feel the way I do about the issue of going on strike. Now, unfortunately, dvbuk55 has completely distracted me and soured my post, which I resent. There are posties like him in my office, who just don't care what they say and who hears it, as if they own the place. But on here it is different, because we are not actually present on the board, just our voices, which is the only thing to take notice of, and we need not feel intimidated by other's posts the way we might feel a little under-strength in the office when we would like to answer back but instead keep quiet and get on with work. I am an angry postie, the past month has really frustrated me, and it is actually out of character for me to retaliate, so I thank dvbuk55 for giving me an outlet for my frustration, by winding me up with his foul replies.
opgpat wrote:You can walk away or ignore people any time you wish here but the bullied worker has no such safety net.
To address the balance here, if you had thought of taking my perspective into account, then you could have asked yourself if the 'bully' actually has a safety net on this board. Well of course the bully has the safety net of being quite apart from the victim, and unless the victim takes offence personally then the bully can get away with anything. So I did take offence, and I will not keep silent in the face of such unfair abuse. I reacted in-kind, dvbuk55 started it, and he/she can finish it with an apology if he/she is big enough.
