@Daz: my previous comment was directed at the part you bolded ("are (the members) happy for the strikes to be suspended whilst those actions take place?"). In the sense that the EC can actually do WTH they like on that score.

That said, no disagreement from me re the part you amended. :)

Can someone who is criticising this agreement without even waiting to see what happens, tell us all exactly what you expected to happen. What terms did you want to come back to work to?

Its all very vague, just like 2007, open to interpretation, but with ACAS and the TUC overseeing things there could be progress. No mention of what new money may be on the table though and come 2010 do they still have their mad 5 or 10% of cuts still on the agenda? There is alot to sort out and for the good of the business and customers its good to not have strikes at christmas, because whatever is going on with "the discussions" the prospect of getting my DO out again after 16 weeks worth of action is minimal.

I know what it should mean but RM think it means:

Closing Post Offices.
Cancelling 1st delivery
.................. basically the 17 points in Postman's list about why we are striking.
