Re: THE AGREEMENT
Here's my 20p about this agreement for what it's worth.
We have been shafted and sold down the river.
REGARDLESS of what has revealed in this document today, all the public and business hear in the media is that the strikes have been called off. REGARDLESS of the terms and conditions for the strikes to have been called off is irrelevant to the public. They don't care! They know the strikes have been called off so that's all they know and care about.
When Janurary comes and the Union maybe feels we have to strike 'again', Joe Public and small businesses owners will be saying 'Those lazy b***ard postmen are out on strike again after getting an agreement last year! Useless gits!'
We were only just beginning to get public support for this dispute and I personally think it is now gone forever.
Royal Mail have more or less secured a strike free Christmas. Well done Royal Mail.
If come Janurary as I have already said we had to strike again, who would support us? The busiest period is Christmas and will have passed. This is the period we should be using to get an agreement to benefit everyone. Not giving Royal Mail a 'get out of jail card' so then can fob us off until Janurary.
I feel so let down regardless of what crap was in this report today.
The Union have sold us AGAIN and in one word we are well and truly F*CKED!
My heart goes out to all the local Reps that have to bear the brunt of the abuse because of the senior Union peoples actions.
PS The only reason I am still in the Union is because of the robust and brilliant job my local Rep does. As I'm sure every local Rep does. As for the guys at the top of the Union tree? You are no better than :lfo :cfo :mfo
So a big thank you to all the hard working local Reps but the guys at the top can go and f**k yourselves! You have let everyone down!

Re: THE AGREEMENT
Agreement.
We won't strike until Xmas.
Royal Mail won't steam roller through massive job cuts, pension cuts, carry out more pegusus revisions, bully / harrass, cut all SA, cut overtime, piss around with our hours until AFTER Christmas.
What a cracking agreement big Dave and co have got for us.
Anyone thinking we haven't been sold down the river must live in on cloud cuckoo land.
January
RM press on with their destruction of a public service, we go on strike, RM don't give a s**t and carry out their plan to derecognise the union.
Spring
Ist wave of voluntary or compulsary redundancies.
Summer
The tories come in and RM press on even further.
Autumn
I would have taken my redundancy ( compulsary - no doubt) and will feel sorry for the 50% of the workforce still left.
Time to make serious job / career plans now.
Byeeeeeee
By the way the domain name http://www.tntmailchat.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is still available to buy

Re: THE AGREEMENT
Once Xmas is over they will use this to wipe their arses with. and carry on with their plans for modernisation without the input of the CWU.

I remember playing Street Figher 2 on my Super Nintendo in the 90's. When I was beat the screen flashed with two words in massive writing......
GAME OVER

Re: THE AGREEMENT
Blimey, well it isn’t all that bad and if things have not improved in two weeks it will be indepenanly reviewed so it’s up to reps at local level to prove RM are up to their usual tricks and we have a return to strike action with the backing of TUC n ACAS so this agreement as two weeks to prove its worth anything in my view

If we return to strike action, who will support us? We were only just getting public support. They now read the strikes are over. There not interested in the conditions why they are over or how long for. They just know they are over. If we ever strike again we will never ever have public support. Royal Mail should never of been given any breathing space! Especially at Xmas! Strike action at Xmas would of made Royal Mail take notice of us! Now we are pushed aside. The Union has f****d us.

Re: THE AGREEMENT
We would have public support if RM are not sticking to their side of the agreement, RM must return to negotiation at all levels or return to strikes, independently reviewed.
