Dear all,
The union has let you down!
We are organising a rally in Tunbridge Wells, Kent on Saturday at 2pm at the Millenium clock in the town.
We have called on all workers to join the rally to fight for services and jobs.
Now CWU has backed down, this could be your best opportunity to have your voices heard
Please let all your members know that they are very welcome to come down and join the rally
Dan

That is a pity, are you in contact with colleagues closer to Tunbridge Wells?

You must be feeling pretty sick tonight that CWU is prepared to dissipate all this momentum for nothing.
There's obviously a hell of a lot of anger, people threatening to leave the union etc.
We can't just roll over and take this - we need a way to make our voices heard now the union has let everyone down.
I would urge you please to contact and encourage as many posties as you can to get to the Rally on Saturday - this is a meaningful, visible protest, and the only one available to us at the moment.
There will be megaphones! Come and rant your hearts out!
Becky
PS, If its to far away - why not organise something in your town? The feelings there - all you need is the confidence!
PPS, My son's just started GCSE history, the history of the Trade Union movement. Trade Unions are originally grassroots workers organisations, they are nothing without their members. The trouble is when the Union management forget what it's like on the ground, stop representing you and start representing themselves and their mates.
The time has come for the workers to start representing themselves again - if there's no strike to get the message across, take your message out to the street. If you talk to people and explain what's going on you find there's a hell of a lot more support than you might have bargained for. Be brave, stand up and be counted!
