can someone out there explain family friendly policy?
my start time has been made later and my wife works in the afternoon. i dont want her to pack in work as she enjoys what she does , but this week with the volume being high she has missed one days work cos little un was ill and i was later home than usual. but the main problem is the school holidays.
all i want is half an hour earlier start or leave it to what it was . 6am but at moment its 7am start.
any advice cheers :crazy:

Family Friendly doesn't mean squat!!
Just something Royal Fail likes to shout about to pretend they give a toss about their workforce.
Regardless though, good luck trying to get your hours altered.

My advice would be to go to Citizens advice they are free I think, and see where you and Royal Mail stand legally before you sign the contract. I believe you can actually sign the contract and add a note under your signature saying that you are getting legal advice and your signature is neither an acceptance or a refusal of the new contract.
