I can remember years ago a big union official coming to our office (rare) dont worry lads youll never have more than two bags 20 years later eight bags on a normal day, over 4 hours to deliver now a job taken out and given to 6 to deliver with parcels etc.we have a van to deliver with but we have to walk, management harrass and test all the time,a industrial tribuneral is ongoing after a guy got the sack wrongly for cutting off,a guy is sueing a manager for being bullied and him doing nothing.three dog bite cases with no compo one with 22 stitches in his arm,the list goes on where is the union, not in our office

Did you all want to carry on striking for months, until a complete deal has been agreed?

50% of the workforce would have gone back to work long before then.

You think so? Any xmas strike power gone now.
i fear you are spot on. after xmas with the fall in mail RM wont give a rats arse if we strike simple because the backlog that would be caused could probably be cleared easily with management/temp staff plus they wont have as much pressure on them from the public etc..

maybe when we know the full story things will look brighter but as it stands now i cant see what has changed other then strikes are called off.

alot of what's been going on i always thought was myth, you know how you hear these storys about this postman and that postman this manager and that manager blah blah. over the past 3 weeks though I've personally seen stuff that has made me feel physically sick. and now i fear it will only get worse. hope im wrong tho

What a joke the CWU is. I think we should all cancel our membership's with immediate effect.

And how many people are actually going to turn up for work tomorrow? Less than 12 hours notice?! Are you kidding me?!
