Re: WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN TO BLACKLEGS ??
I believe that the union membership of anyone who crosses the picket line should be cancelled as they are obviously not willing to abide by a democratic vote but would be very quick to seek defence by the union if they ended up on a disciplinary case or similar.
As for calling names and letting tyres down etc.. this for me is a definite no no and as true blue terrier says we let ourselves down with incidents like this.
However if someone decides not to speak to someone who chose to cross the picket line then that is there personal choice.

Could'nt agree more, there should be no bullying whatsoever
Personally I just don't talk to them for a bloody long time after, not out of malice,I just can't bear to even look at them.A close colleage scabbed last time because she was unaware of the strength of feelling that she would come back to after the srike, she was'nt bullied, just alot of people did'nt talk too her for about a year after. This time around she's been 100% with us and said she would now never scab again. One new entrant did'nt know wether too come in on strike days or not so asked her,she told her don't come in it ain't worth it for the sake of a few day's pay(I know its gonna be more this time!).

Any married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing.

Would i be happy with what?
Any benefits from cwu action?i have already said yes, or course i would be happy. Just like i would be happy if my bank decided to give me some extra money, just like i would be happy if my petrol station gave me some free petrol.

You 3 will all be quite happy with all these people who exorcised their right to work through IA,weakened our unions position and helped in the downfall of RM as a public service.......??HESS wrote:So.....IF these 'blacklegs' gained momentum and started returning to work en-mass,the cwu loses all the leveridge it had,we then end up going back to work in worse circumstances that many members are in already.....and finally the company dissolves into the horizon.

Throw them out of the union,As for talking to them dont bother,Work as if they dont exist.
Why the hell should we lose pay,Just for them to reap the benefit's of our strinking and lose nothing atall,The least they should expect to lose is their dignity.
Tough if you dont like people not talking to you,We dont like losing pay,But at least most have morals and will support the majority.

Re: WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN TO BLACKLEGS ??
I have a close friend who is not in the union. She quit after the 2007 fiasco. Does she deserve your hatred, too ?
Anyway, your question is academic now, Hess.
The leadership of this union have just undermined everything we in London lost 18 days pay for
Do you think RM are going to be scared by the thought of more strikes AFTER CHRISTMAS ???????????????????????????
I've phoned up RM payroll and come out of the union too. With the s/a I lost on strike days added-in, I'm down over £1300 and what have we gained ? An agreement to keep talking ? WTF ???
Sorry, you don't expect Man Utd to substitute all their best players when they've gone 1-0 up in the first minute of a long match.
We had a good negotiating position and the top brass have thrown it away.

Re: WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN TO BLACKLEGS ??
ive said it before, and ill say it again. Your problem shouldn't be with streakbreakers, it should be with the mugs who dont do the job properly, mainly in your union.
Your union is not weak because of the strikebreakers, its weak because of the idiots who run it, do u need anymore justification of that point than what just happened?Your union had RM by the nuts, do you think its a coincidience that the first all out strike, talks all of a sudden speed up. Your union done these daft staggered strikes, that in my office at least, had no real effect.
I feel sorry for the people that have lost alot of money, i can only help feel that if these clowns at the top had done an all out strike to begin with, they would be far better off financially and probably have the agreement they wanted.

So someone in your office has a different point of view and disagrees with the herd, so the herd make her life hell until she does what she's told ?
That's as clear a definition of bullying as I ever saw
