rallying letter

Post by vigilante »

put this up if anybody wanted it to copy it for the cause.

WE NEED YOU AGAIN
Last Friday when the CWU called a national day of strike action we could not have asked for a better response from the members of our branches. Almost every unit in the area came out en mass to support our call for Royal Mail to return to the negotiating table.

All shifts starting after 7pm next Thursday night will be asked to take strike action again.

We have made sure that you are more informed than ever during this dispute and there is absolutely no need for us to repeat what is at stake for us all.

The purpose of this bulletin is to ask every single member to support the strike action next week as we look to force Royal Mail to treat the CWU seriously. We will be leaving no stone unturned in making sure everyone has all the tools needed for next weeks action.

We are of course hopeful that a resolution can be found before next week. The CWU have given Royal Mail 7 days and a lot could change during this time. All members will be getting letters to your home addresses from CWU HQ giving the latest position early next week.

All we ask of you is to deliver an exact repeat of last week. For all their bravado Royal Mail were shocked and knocked back by the turnouts in all units last week. Many managers were predicting large numbers of staff would be working and this never materialised.

We were extremely proud to be your representatives last week and we know that come next Thursday/Friday that will be the case once more. As well as standing up for your union, you are standing up for YOUR future and the future of the postal industry.

You could always turn up on the picket line. One lot wearing Orange, the other lot wearing Green, all united against the strike breakers and management.

LOL? Of course invite them, and don't forget the RBP, the ABOD and the AOH. (And I'll bet the only people on this side of the Irish Sea who will get that either come from Glasgow or Liverpool).
