job and knock gone in most places now , lucky manmclovin wrote:After booking that half hour for yesterday, managers says seeing as its light today she'll be scratching off yesterdays OT,I said "no chance, you should think yourself lucky you didnt get a phone call telling you i'm cutting off". Left it at that and went out on delivery, was in the house at 12.30,like i said fairly light day, and my mobile rings, I miss it and it goes to answer phone, its her saying she's on patrol where am I??
Cheeky cow!!!!
You're right about taking 2 bags out, I'm seriously thinking of stopping that practice and either handing back or booking for every single minute Im stood waiting. The problem with the latter is exactly what happened today, although I thought they werent allowed to scratch OT just because its a light day*.
* If you're wondering why its as light day with all the backlog its due to hardly any sorters on the primary and a shorter working day, well, they wanted it that way and so they shall have it.

You dont seem to get it. This driver actually WANTS me to complain, because he's a lazy self centred t**t.
He can get the bags there on time if he wanted to, everyone who covers the duty when he's not there seem to manage it problem free.
The fact that he was seen by another postie delivering packets while I was sitting on my hands waiting for bags on Monday is proof enough.
He wants his duty shortened so he is antagonising me knowing I will voice my concerns with the manager, but I wont, because thats what he wants.

Its already been brought to the gaffers attention and he jumped to the defense of the driver, as per usual.
if you are finishing on your time, what does it matter?
its up to RM to expedite getting posties on the street ASAP
as soon as you start sending loads back due to waiting then they will see it as a priority
you working around it makes in a non priority

new policy is to work your time , if you finish early they'll get you doing overtime for free, introduce lapsing ....... it's happening so take your breaks, don't come in early , doing your job properly will save it.mclovin wrote:OK but what about the phone call today, after pulling out the stops yesterday, just to get s**t on by a wannabe manager????

How's about this - yesterday in my office some posties got their bags after 2pm, and they not only waited for them, they also delivered the lot. Not one person cut off.
I'd have been going home with a grin on my face after delivering one bag
