No but it's not true ;)
Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

Re: sick when strikes hit
Yes it has happened to a few people in GMC. It is going to be one of those things that the union will/should challenge along with things like not being paid for a full days work despite almost completing it.
But will the CWU challenge it and if it does how long will it take legally.
It also brings into question the managers attitude of "we will not question the genuiness of your illness". Obviously assuming that those that are sick would not scab and attend work as normal.
Once again RM management show their true colors and their attitude towards staff becomes even more transparent. :cfo

I forgot to add that it only applies to those people that jump on the sick maybe one or two days before any IA anyone who has been sick long term it would seem is ok.

I just assume nightwolf that if it has been happening in Glasgow then it must be happening elsewhere as i know that some of those people affected spoke to the union who basically were unable to help.

Yes a manager told us before a strike that if anybody is thinking about going sick in the run up to the strikes they will not get paid.

if you are on sick leave prior to any IA you will recieve sick pay, as long as you have worked over 12 monthsBRAVEHEART09 wrote:I forgot to add that it only applies to those people that jump on the sick maybe one or two days before any IA anyone who has been sick long term it would seem is ok.
