RM using the competition

Post by cruisey »

I was having a chat with our PHG this morning. He told me he'd received a parcel sent by RM to an RM delivery office, and it was carried by, wait for it...........................CITY LINK.
WHAT PRAYER DO WE HAVE IF OUR EMPLOYER ISN'T PREPARED TO USE ITSELF OR PARCELFORCE TO CARRY THE ITEM

When I'm in the callers office this is a regular thing, I seem to remember that City link, Interlink and Pink Link seem to be regulars.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

It could be that the printing companies that RM use choose to use other distributing firms , but surely if this is the reason, RM could get a better deal if they said just print them and we'll collect them and then didtribute them ourselves.
