Socialist Workers Party for me - they turned up to support our picket - none of the others did.

Very much doubt they'll stand any candidates this time. Either in the GE or the local elections.

Have to be the Green Party then. A protest vote may be a wasted vote - but it is never a vote that the big parties can count on.

I don't think it is wasted. For one, a lot of careerist Labour MPs will start making left-wing noises if their seats are under threat and they note that more voters are going over to the Greens. Secondly, the likes of Greens get screwed on the deposit system. So they need as many votes as possible.

Probably still vote labour---regardless of what else he has done, Gordon Brown has at least made life a bit more comfortable for a number of groups--from pensioners on pension credit, to schoolkids being paid to stay on at school.

I know i should not after what they are doing to us,but there has been some good as pointed out by stokes11eg,and we still have alot of support from Labour MPs.
I did vote green at our local elections and may even switch to them on a national basis.

Backlash against the levy, you must be joking.
So far only 43 people have joined the facebook group How to cease union donations to the labour party.
Either they are stopping the levy by themselves or there is an awfull amount of lethagy there.
It may well be that some feel there is no alternative but the back the Labour party.
I cannot vote Conservative, it would be like a turkey voting for Christmas!
But I don't want to vote Labour either!
Labour have the working man where they want, nowwhere to go!
Just who do we vote for? Are we forced to vote Labour as the best of the worse!

Thats because we dont want to stop paying into the levy but want to stop the levy paying to labour.

If as and when a vote comes we need every single scrap the link person possible paying the levy so they get a vote and vote to scrap the link.

You have a fair point there, but what I do like about them is that they say they will take us out of the EU. Anybody who thinks the EU is good for jobs etc is talking s**t. The only reason it is good is that the big companies find it easier to export JOBS, that was the whole reason behind it in the first place. One big con if you ask me.

Sadly the Labour Party which should be our Vote has let us down dearly. In my opinion you couldnt vote for any of them - its our right to vote but we have been knifed in the back by our own, this has been a missed opportunity for Labour & the only people that could genuinely save them are the unions & theyve really missed the boat there. Seems they know their on their way out & are doing some dirty work for the Tories on the way out of the door.

This time the Green party is a lot stronger and popular than 2005. For starters membership is growing rapidly, with 1000 new members during the local and euro election campaign.

In Norwich they are now the 2nd largest group on the coucil and I belive in brighton as well, In brighton and hove the sitting labour MP declared some time ago pre expeneses scandal he was stepping down which is very convenient when he has a very strong green party in his patch and the Green PPC is Caroline Lucas the leader of the green party. Going back to Norwich in the south the greens are very likley to win as its a purley city council boundary seat were as in the north it goes into tory territory of broadland council area and their strength is city council area.

There is plenty in Green policy for a traditional labour voter to like if not vote for.

The EU is a load of shyte, as is UKIP. We are only ordinary working people, what on earth would the "Tories with the hump about Europe", otherwise known as UKIP, do for working people?
I suspect that other than their sole issue, the EU, UKIP would be no better than the Tories and their upstart cousins, New Liebour.
The Green party supports the working man, takes a very dim view of the way big business intrudes in almost every aspect of our lives, and would be the most likely party to end the seemingly endless ride on the gravy train that the likes of Crozier, Brydon, and Higson, enjoy at our expense.
