But what if, say, a strike is called for next Friday, and the DOM says on Monday 'we need you to work 30mins extra today, and we will give you the time back ... on Friday'

Can we refuse under those circumstances ? Cos he'll say 'if you choose not to come in on Friday, it will your fault you didn't get your 30mins back'

I posted this only because we need to be prepared for them trying this tactic :shhhhh
I think you're are missing the point of flexibility here. It is supposed to be used to utilise all your working hours. You don't work overtime on a Monday without booking it, on the premise that you might finish early on a Wednesday. That's nonsense !
The early finish must have occured earlier in the week, and then the dom can request that you work on, up to a maximum of 30 mins.
If you were to be striking on the Friday, you will docked a days pay anyway, and so that day doesn't even come into the equation. Your dom will be talking rubbish

These management "practices" have been going on all over the country since March.
It is why we are where we are.

It amazes me that some reps on here still believe there is some code of conduct between
reps and managers.
The whole point is that we know what the agreement states, and we know what we should do
if the manager disagrees but the frustration is What next?

1, Take it and book the O/T.
2, Cut Off

Both of these options will bring you into direct confrontation with management.
Fine by me,probably fine by the majority of this forum but if your honest not for the majority of your D.O.

B&H will go through the roof tommorow
