HELLO THERE BROTHERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am a union rep int the westcountry area i became a rep because the previous dom rode roghshot over all of us completely splitting the office . . i'm ashamed to say we rolled over and are dealing with the consequences !!!! i decided to become a rep to regain the balance !!!!! i've adopted a zero tolerance to everything and people are responding . . . .to anyone out there who has been taken down the conduct code or being harrassed by by weasley line managers trying to silence you for standing up in what you believe . . . you have my full respect ,
I'M sick and tired of having to listen to my dom , reel out useless facts and figures trying to justify theSe savings plans . . . ZERO TOLERANCE TO ANY SAVINGS !!!!!!!
I HAVENT RECIEVED ANY FORMAL PRPOSALS ON SAVINGS .....AND IF I DO I'LL TELL HIM WHERE HE CAN STICK THEM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cfo :lfo

but unfortunatly still have to do work related crap!! suppose it goes with the job at the mo.
Bit of info some REP'S may not be aware of I just found out that if any REP'S are on leave & there is indust act at their office they CAN NOT JOIN THE PICKET LINE as R/M are paying them & they will be taken down the conduct code!!!

Even if that is on your way home from pub/town/ walking dog etc and just saying hi to your work colleagues on the way past.

Sorry but when you get a C.W.U. Area Rep walk out of MY Appeal of a Harresment and bullying case i had against Management in my office and was found down the pub while i had too get a Rep from another source I think ALL of you too would be bitter and sad AND mainly upset!!!!!! Hey, tommo, as a newcomer to this site I've just read your spleen venting above. Just a comment about "IN BAD FAITH" and what it means. In general terms it's Royal Mail's way of trying to deter the uniform grades from putting grievance's and B&H complaints in against managers. Because when in the 99.9% of the time they are not upheld they obviously conclude that the Postman was making it up all along hence "in bad faith" they then attempt to use the Conduct Code for having the audacity to make such scandalous remarks about all them nice managers who would never do the same thing to us because they are too busy polishing their halo's and ego's. And you thought that Equal Opportunities was about treating everybody the same! just goes to show how wrong you can be sometimes hey

RM do 1970's fit ups start with verdict , charge, "evidence"-"witnesses , yes it's totally contrived but they'll try and make it "look straight", superficially . Orders come from high . An old fashioned closing of ranks just like Prison when they get 9 screws to swear blind . Problem is RM had the worst record for B&H bar the Prison Service , so you'll be taught a lesson not to make trouble for RM by having everything twisted round . The Jermaine Lee suicide in brum put RM into thier usual panic mode , everything is purely to impress another manager , totally regimented. There is over zealous Political Correctness but as long as RM can "win awards " & impress naive gullible people it's Ok.9mths delay sounds if they want to sit on it & it'd never stand up in a ET.I do think in thier arrogance they are challenging people to take them on in Court. However they've always been autocratic and above the law. I agree with Fozzie that there is boy's clubs amongst managers , some places thrive on thier own corruption & have thier rotten systems to protect . The irony is mediocre managers thrive by making sure everything ticks Allan's boxes . It's a throwback to the 90's youv'e people who'd sell thier arses in Woolies Window, shop thier mate's for the price of a pint etc. AL may be a idiot but my god there are some good puppetmasters. 1-2 of them would be otherwise unemployable outside. :lfo :cfo
