Yesterday, upon enquiring about arrangements for booking my holiday, I was presented with a document entitled “Annaul” (my emphasis) Leave List.
I have been taken to wondering whether there is a superfluous ‘n’ and ‘u’ and where I should shove it…

There seems to be an unusually high level of nonsense around at the moment. For a real side-splitter try to catch the video shot at Sunderland City Crown Office and shown on the Focus TV thing, or whatever it’s called. If only I had known it was so easy. I would never have become this cynical…
If you don’t know how to work it, get someone to show you the item broadcast a few weeks ago demonstrating the use of a keyboard. Excuse me, don’t we all use these everyday anyway? I feel sorry for the poor gentlemen that present this garbage – what must it be like to have a job that is of absolutely no use whatsoever?
And the one who tells us every week that Travel Money is the worst performer. Does he realise he will have to say the same thing every week for the rest of the year? And does he know that what he is actually reporting is not ‘performance’, but how far the target setters are adrift?

I think Darren Bent's shot at Sunderland's Stadium Of Light on Saturday that hit an outsize novelty red ball and was deflected past Liverpool's keeper was funnier. Especially when you see the slo-mo replay where the keeper dives to his right in a vain attempt to save the wrong ball

The latest gem on ‘Focus TV’ is the Quarter 2 Business Update, which I highly recommend. At one point a church or cathedral is seen in the background. Presumably, the great and good of our organisation were in there at the time seeking assistance from The Almighty in Quarter 3.
Daft really, everyone knows it’s everything to do with the ‘Recession’, and nothing at all to do with inept leadership.
