Paid for striking !!!

Post by rhino49 »

Our office weren't stopped any pay this week despite having a 100% support last friday - I asked my DOM if this might have been because we were part of the imaginary 60% that went into work. Apparently someone up there didn't process the information in time to affect the wages - what's it like working under pressure mate - ask a postie :nana :nana :nana

I'm on my rest week, so I don't know about anyone else in my DO, but I seem to have got a full weeks wages as well. I also got D2D money and a full PBS monthly bonus. So for once I've got a bit of cash, on this of all weeks!

Do you think this may be an attempt at some sort of mind game to make us think, "Leighton & Crozier aint that bad, they even paid us when we were on strike".... ? If so they can stick their days pay!

Maybe they are saving it up to take it all in one go - many of us can miss a day but a week is tough - start saving anything you should have lost folks - I wouldn't put it past them.

Surely if it was down to not being able to get the correct paperwork done on time they'll make sure you get docked the pay on your wage next wage.
Would it be wrong to ask for extra D2D money as we only had 4 days to complete them not 5. Or would that be taking the piss? :cool

Don't worry, they still use farthings, shillings and groats down there

Regardless of the reasons why some have not had the money taken off (it could be by design or accident), the bottom line is that it's an overpayment.

The employer should therefore follow there own overpayments procedure.

If they don't, everyone (and I mean everyone) should put in a grievance regarding unauthorised deductions from earnings.

And if necessary, make a complaint to an employment tribunal
