Who's behind Ipswich anti-strike protest?

Chants of “Where’s our post?” directed at striking postal workers by pro-management demonstrators in Ipswich today no doubt brought much glee to Royal Mail bosses.

But just how genuine was the protest?

The demonstration was organised by local Tory councillor Steven Wells, who hoped his few dozen supporters would be joined by swathes of seething locals.

But, according to a reporter from the Ipswich Evening Star, most protesters seemed to have other motives—they were paid employees of Wells’ firm, Experience Connect.

According to the reporter, staff employed by Wells face the loss of their bonuses if mail backlogs generated by the strike hold up vital documents for Experience Connect.

Readers may be interested in Experience Connect’s line of business. A phone call to their hotline reveals they can help you with your debts and credit card problems.

No doubt very useful if you happen to be a postal worker whose job is being cut

Steven Wells, what a bell-end. Typical Tory, as dishonest as the day is long.
