Same as most people, customers asking why I was delivering today and again I replied that I would not be tomorrow.

First to the picket line at 4am. Rep arrived at 4.30. Decent turn out from the lads and good banter all round. 5 crossed the picket line from our office. Not sure, but suspect that 1 or 2 went elsewhere to work. (we know of one that always works on strike days but he didn't turn up at the office). Very good media coverage, local radio and press man for pictorial coverage. 2 lads from the Socialist Worker turned up to give further coverage. They've been gathering signatures for a petition around the town, looked good. Bloke told me he had loads more signed up back at his home. Pointed him towards RMC for further fact finding, questions etc. Even had a woman in her car stop me at the lights on my way home, told me she was right behind us. During the week I only had 1 woman on my round tell me she was against us being on strike. You should be working, people are relying on the post etc etc.

Very Good day!!
Got to the gates at 5.45 where we had a slow build up of lads and lasses until about 9am when we had 25-30 out.
2 people crossed the line, fewer than last time. Support from the public was almost unanimous, certainly the traffic beeped its support with only 2 dickheads shouting abuse, and they looked like smackheads anyway!!

Support for the union seems strong among the lads and strong among the public. We cannot lose!!!

Nearly all of my "colleagues" worked today and they are alledgedly getting "scab mail" on sunday. Bastards worked 'til about 11 today and get full days pay. F**king spineless SCAB c**ts.

I work to about 11, 12ish most days and get full days pay. I just know what im doing compared to some who are out till late afternoon having cups of tea every 10 mins.

It was quite bad today but a lot of it was held over from Saturday

but I did notice that we're getting a lot of crash mail at the moment, I suppose when the MC can't cope they just end it on to the DOs to deal with

Really heavy, loads of flats

loads of large packets. On the bright side I did have to drag a sack of mail past about 20 soldiers in there finest kit having an inspection

and another group doing some excercises

Went over again by about 20 minutes and took all the large packets back, did'nt book, could'nt be arsed today to have another row about booking. Also got freaked out by ladybirds bloody 1000's of them, opened someones letterbox up and loads fell out

Saturday and Monday were both busy. Packets were not too bad. My day off today but my postie arrived earlier than he usually does, so can't have been too bad.

When I first read that I thought you'd went 20 minutes over your time looking at all the large packets on the soldiers

Heavy again with loads of DSA. Packets on the light side still. Am beginning to wonder whether the slump in the economy is stopping people from spending. This time last year I was getting hammered every day with packets. Dom has been unusually chirpy, even breaking out into a joke or two. REALLY strange.

Covered a 'new' duty today. Sorted on time and dropped off on time. Went 10 minutes over my time (without a full break) and 250 doors were left undelivered. Managers refused offer of OT to complete.

I'm young, I'm fit and know the area well. There were only 5 signed for items and probably a normal amount of packets.

I wonder what will be blamed for failure ......... ME
