Very strange article, turns into a blackleg because of disappointment . A collaborator through and through. Strikebreaking is not some passive activity free from consequences . This person has taken an active decision to collaborate with management in order to slash his colleagues pay and conditions. To make things worse he then publicly boasts about the effort he is putting in to drive down our pay and cut jobs, all in defiance of a democratic vote

If that where really true then my wife should've been a strikebreaker a long time ago

Don't be harsh with people who don't want or unwilling to strike. They may have a mortgage to pay or a family to feed.

He is in denial and clearly trying to justify his position, it is the position of quisling or traitor. They can not look the rest of us in the eyes and they deserve our contempt forever to be cast aside and ignored.

With all due respect, General, Guy Gibson was a proper hero - 27 op tour on Hampdens, immediately followed by a transfer request to Fighter Command to avoid the standard 6 month rest from ops ( with 4 kills from 99 sorties ), followed by 11 months and 46 ops commanding 106 Sqn before he was selected to create & command 617 Sqn.

After Operation Chastise ( the Dams raid ), he was sent on a promotional tour of the US ( partly to boost morale over there for the war, partly to keep Britain's new hero safe ). At this time the first USAAF bomber crews were coming home after doing 25 ops completed, one woman asked Gibson how many ops over Germany he had done "One hundred and seventy four" was the reply to stunned silence.

Typically, he pestered Bomber Command to be returned to ops in 1944, and was killed on 19th September 1944 as a Pathfinder Master Bomber, when his Mosquito developed a fault with the fuel tank selector.

Sorry to bang on about it ( and most of what I wrote was culled from wikipedia ) but having scabbed once ( due to extreme financial pressure ) I'm not fit to lick his boots, but Ken Gibson ( if he exists ) needs to surrender his passport, as the British are made of sterner stuff.

I write as a customer of Royal Mail. I am lost without the services of the people who work for them. Of course I am unhappy with the past stoppages and strike. It has had a serious affect on my online business.

Saying that I think the Royal Mail staff need to get an agreement in place sooner rather than later, as if the Tories get in, they will privatise. So as I see it, you need to get agreements fully in place now to protect yourselves. For the sake of the Royal Mail staff, if it takes a further period of unrest to protect the rights of staff, then so be it. Just hurry up please, as some of us also need to earn a living! :-)

One more thing, Maybe I am naive and I understand and agree about the feelings towards certain 'Lord's' shown in your Smilies but surely it is not necessary to use the language shown, even in a graphic. Cheers J

there is definately no person named 'Ken Gibson' at Twickenham DO, as i work there, approx 50%, yes that's correct sadly, went into to work last friday, 28 out of 60 duties at the office.

Unless somebody recognises this person as a 'postman' from their own area, then in my opinion this is made up bullshit.

Also the pouch is brand new, never been used. Which means a manager has supplied it. There is no-way a postie would get a new pouch for a photo-shoot unprompted. Oh and he hasn't got a single letter on him. Some postman. Dissapoinnted to see he hasn't got a guitar with him.
