Forgive my ignorance, but the PEC will review and decide, that is still going on so till then nobody knows diddlly squat and the News bods can go fcuk themselves with their crap journalism.

They should be reporting that the PEC are reviewing the talks so far and will decide if the strikes stand or are to be called off.

That and only that is the correct start of play !!!!

Untill we get a statement we hope for the best but prepare for the worst!!!!

28th October 2009

Talks between CWU and Royal Mail continue at the TUC this morning (Wednesday).

The CWU Postal Executive will meet at CWU headquarters, Wimbledon, this afternoon to be updated on the talks and to take decisions on next steps. A statement will be made following that meeting.

I understand what you say pinewood some do seem to glorify strikes and can't wait til the next one, BUT if the cwu call a strike you should support it as the only way we are going to get anything out of this is by uniteing together, don't go in stick with it , listen to others in your ofice, if you go in you are letting your DOM win and his bounus grow, change has to take place but we must be allowed to have our say on how change is to be made. united we stand!!

WOW .....ONE day of IA and you've given up already?!?!?

Do you realise that the 60quid you lost on Friday will PALE INTO NOTHING compared to the 1500quid you will loose every year when the company scraps the d2d payment????

Are you serious? ONE day strike? Unless you are London in which case you have done us proud, we're almost there thanks largely to you guys.

"There is one slight glimmer of hope, our correspondent said, as the union says it is continuing a dialogue by telephone."

Dave thought he was dialling the number for Pizza Express.
