unit management

Post by brunswick »

i've asked this question on a different forum but no one seems to know the answer, what are the rules regarding the prescence of a manager at any delivery unit whilst employees are present, also if no manager is available must a substitute be authorised in writing to fulfill the managers duties?

 Are you suggesting that there is sometimes no Manager in your Delivery Unit? If so. I should imagine he has delegated
someone to act on his behalf.

If you search around the office, you'll find a sheet that lists who is the PIC in order.

Hi All

If the Manager is not present their has to be a substitute who has been P.I.C trained.
He our she must have training on Health & Safety and be trained as a Fire Officer.
If as I suspect they are appointing any Tom Dick or Harry then they are clearly in breach of
The Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999

and The Regulatory Reform(Fire Safety) Order 2005
Hope this helps :wave
