seems for some folk that they have a funny idea about democracy, last time I looked 76% were in favour of industrial action, how about accepting the result of that ballot or does it only count if you get the result you want?
further to my previous reply,I should state that Im not in favour of naming offices, but I will give a huge round of applause to the 2 guys out of the 13 in (a small office in tayside) who went on strike,

since when did we live in a democracy? a government wich less than a third of us voted for, european laws we dont have a say in running our lives and worst of all Mandelson the democratically elected member of parliament for ......................
Fluffy - you mentioned in this thread that there was B&H going on here - there is an steps have been taken and will continue to be taken.
However, not sure that naming offices that had a majority break the strike could be considered as such. What people call those offices or any action taken as a result of naming the offices is a different matter, but trying to find out which offices were solid and which were not I honestly don't think is.
However, I have amended thread title with by removing the word "shame".

whatever, either way your brain isnt going to save your job! Ive never been one to hold back when it comes to criticising our leadership, its perks and mega wages but to raise this and ignore Crozier's £3million plus compensation is a bit rich. My manager was banging on about how CWU leaders got interest free mortgages, dont know if its true or not but we can take care of that once we've beaten Royal Mail.
Join Labour, defend Corbyn from the Right, and fight for socialist policies

You said this:
Bottom line is we/everyone needs a general election to get this s**t out of power until then nothing will change
So you want Labour out of power - the Conservatives will get in because nobody else has a prayer. Regardless of who YOU want in power you're not going to get it, so relying on any political party to do something for you is a waste of time.
You have the opportunity to help yourself and your colleagues RIGHT NOW, instead of waiting for something that's never going to happen.

What about the ONE guy (i.e. me ) in office of 30 plus in Angus - who went out ?

If you need the money now what are you going to do if/when RM hits you with compulsary redundancy or reduction of hours? Anyone who doesn't support the strikes are deluding themselves and should be kicked out of the union if they are a member. It would be nice if they were not given the benefits of our strike too, give them basic redundancy etc. they don't deserve ANYTHING that we achieve from this dispute.

i can agree with the above, coming to an office near you soon. as regards to the union, people made a choice to join, they wanted to have a vote, someone to speak for and protect them. so for all these benefits members should abide by the democratic decision and support the strike. when you join something you agree to abide by it's rules. as for kicking them out i wouldn't like to say, perhaps it should be explained why we are striking, how it will help them in the long term. if money is a problem, get them advice. the union has to help people to help themselves. if they cannot agree then they should be asked to resign. it will annoy people who have lost money fighting for what they believe in when these people who have worked and lost nothing will gain off other people's loss. no union and royal mail would be a lot worse to work for. it would be a case of "this is how it is and if you don't like it eff off" :cfo :mfo
