If the strikes are called off whilst more negotiations are taking place this will give management the green light to bully us even more. Its going to be a 2007 deal all over again :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :evil/mad
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Not taking the piss - but that's typical BBC and Sky News reporting - The CWU have to make a decision tomorrow whichever way it goes as they have to inform branches on whether the strikes are to continue or be collapsed.

Its a sort of -******** Breaking News **************** They Sky is Blue, but it is expected that it will cloud over during the next 6 weeks. In other words they are reporting something as news when in fact is common sense and usual practice.

If it's a decision to suspend IA while further talks are progressed it's unlikely there will be a vote.

Yes we voted on the Pay and Modernisation after the PEC was nobbled to agree to put it to the membership with a recommendation to accept - lets just hope they actually see through Royal Mails trickery and have the b*lls to see it as it is and do not fold until the deal is done NOT an agreement to more talks - they're already talking - it will focus RMs mind if the strikes continue.

After the debacle that has come out of the 2007 agreement there had better not be a negotiated sell out by our elected representatives. That includes the executive who in turn will pour over the wording of any agreement.

If not, the membership will no doubt send it straight back to headquarters as REJECTED and set the whole scenario back to where we are now, but without the advantage of occupying the high ground.

This could be a sell out TOO FAR and herald the break up of the CWU if they crumble.
