Re: DID NOT GO ON STRIKE
Ever wondered what sort of Briton could have collaborated with the occupying German enemy, as happened in the Channel Islands during WW2?
Then look at Fluffy's post, and wonder no more.

Re: DID NOT GO ON STRIKE
Your missing the point fluff if R/M get there way regardless of whether there are different pay scales or different rules in each D/O across the land under R/M proposals everyone will be effected by these stanges.FLUFFY wrote:I did not cross a picket line ..there was not a picket line... no one went out in our office..
Im not in this for a fight im trying to express my opinion that what the union are doing is not going to change a thing THEY HAVE NO POWER..if they did all this mess should have been nipped in the bud as it was happening !!!! How can you expect all RM staff across the country to unite and fight together when you read threads on here and realise that all DO`s have different pay stuctures, hours, rules ..London posties on higher wages, scottish posties getting paid higher d2d rates etc etc
Going on strike for the odd day here and there after giving 7 days noticewill not change a thing !!
Please PM your office so i may do the right thing and report your office to H/Q thats the least you can do for me.
Where do you get that D2DS payment differ as they dont explain please.

I honestly cant understand people having this attitude (not just you),I find it a bit weak really. In life there will be many times when other people will try to 'proverbly' shaft you,the school bully, immoral employers etc. You should always stand and fight even if you think you may lose otherwise you get shafted even more.
The government and crozier may win BUT I will know me and a few of us gave them a good smack on the nose at least.
Any married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing.

I would like a link to that as well,on my d2d sheet this week was the rate of 1.67 per item, are posties south of the border getting paid less for d2d?

That wouldn't happen because they wouldn't be there in the first place, they would be in a "reserved" occupation or in jail.WHITEANT wrote:Just imagine if the soldiers in world wars took fluffs attitude what would happen ,well there was a few like him and what happened THEY WERE SHOT IN THE BACK RUNNING AWAY

Maybe you will think twice when you're Office is closed and merged into a Super DO 20 miles from where it is now,
When you find out that you're present contract and terms and conditions will be torn up and you will be told sign a new part time contract or there's the door,
Being told to do D2D's for nothing,
Royal Mails idea of flexability may well mean you turning up for work one monday and being told you're on holiday for 3 weeks because they have to many people in, as they have done away with the seniority and holiday picks for operational purposes. Finding out that you're workload has increased and being intimidated into coming in early and going over your paid hours with no extra money and risked being sacked.

Re: DID NOT GO ON STRIKE
Our DO is merging has been on the cards for ages..F/T are being gotten rid of..O/T is not being paid...no more bonuses..no more SA ..work loads are heavy...Doms are lazy...starting times are changing next year (later starts)
I know all this BUT giving a weeks notice and striking the odd day here and there is not going to change a thing :mfo <----- and this slimey greedy overpaid t0sser is loving this..He knows the public dont like us striking he knows we`ll lose contracts..it will make breaking RM up and selling it on much easier

DO`s have different pay stuctures, hours, rules ....................I must admit this gets on my tits. About time the union sorted this out so that all offices across the country are the same with NO LOCAL AGREEMENTS.

With this attitude Fluffy, just pack it in or grow some balls and join the fight like the rest of us!
