Pity it's not Dave Ward. Billy should be kept away as much as possible from the media, a bit like the labour government does with Adam Crozier. Billy just does not sound right, or look right, for being the main CWU spokesman during this dispute.

 Yes, he is on at present---I stopped watching halfway through, but am still listening in! Although he is trying to get points across--he is not following through, and is too easily shouted down by the interviewer.
Kenneth Clarke is blabbing on now, what an idiot.
and as for Crozier, when i watched him on the Andrew Marr show--he seemed to be morphing into Mandelson---
maybe it was the way his nose was growing with every lie he told!

Watched Ken Clarke on Sky earlier, where the feck does he get the idea that we dont work our 8 hours he,just another Tory without a clue about Royal mail and it's workforce, think it was pointed out earlier that he thinks we work 35 hour week, well at least we ken what will happen when they get in next year.
The more you know, the worse it gets.

Because Billy doesn't say we do when questioned about it?

He was asked yet again about Croziers ususal comments of 'working all the hours they are paid' and NOT ONCE did he say 'but they do'. He just said they wanted an independent assessor to come in a agree workload. 'It's not about the hours' he said. :d'oh!

The bloke is damaging us everytime he appears on TV.

When I worked elsewhere in London, we had a TV/film section. One day, we had a very important "City" type come in for TV interview training.
They got a TV interviewer in to "coach" him on his presentation etc. Adam Crozier has had the Very Same coaching...

1. Don't answer direct questions, at least not straight away. Think oF the question, then give Your answer.
2. Get your point across. Repeat it 3 times if you have to. Maggie was great at this!
3. Don't get interrupted in flow, keep talking. See "Maggie" above.
4. By-pass the question, and give an already prepared answer that favours your arguement. See 1.
5. State "facts" that strengthen your side of the arguement. Even if they can't be proven/are incorrect.
6. Don't use excessive "body language", keep fairly still, cool, controlled. Even voice and mannerisms, don't get upset.
God, I think he'll get an Oscar for the acting he was doing...Maybe Billy needs to get some Coaching too!!!!!!!!

Today i watched Crozier have another easy ride from Andrew Marr , again somene without enough knowledge to ask the right questions, but he did get him to say that he had talked to Mandleson about the dispute on the phone.Shortly afterwards on came Mandleson, saying that the dispute was not for the government to sort out and he has NO contact with Crozier!
Now unless im going bonkers someone else can verify this because it goes to show just how duplicitous the management and government are being in this dispute. Please someone get him on a live debate with Dave Ward, it would expose his lies for what they are :cfo :mfo

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Let's not forget that Clarke was one of the main protagonists in the pensions "holiday", sat smoking his cigars , and quaffing wine at our expense. The man is a walking advert as to why everyone should despise tories.

I like how Ken Clarke talks about RM needs modernising and how the pension deficit needs sorting, if i remember correctly when you and the Conservatives were in power didnt you take 90% of the proffit every year you were in power, ammounting to billions of pounds so no investment could be made into the company, and also take a pension holiday at the same time, which helped to put our pension fund in the s**t in the first place, :mad :arrrghhh bloody hypocrit, the vast ammount of journalism has been rubbish, i wish someone would ask the right questions, if journalists or polititions went on strike no one would notice.
