What insurance do I need for my car? Please help!
Hi,this must have beeen discussed and answered loads of times for new starters, (I've used the search facility, but had no luck).
What insurance do I need to cover my round? I'm a postman, I would like to use my own personal car to cover the lenghty distances between streets and a base for my 'door to doors'.
I have my MOT and driving licence but, the form is puzzling me.
Please can anyone help me?
Thank you in advance,
WB84.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

the general opinion is private cars should not be used, leads to job losses etc. you need to contact your insurance company for business use and tell them exactly what you will be using it for. the royal mail insurance is third party only any damage to your car and royal mail will not be paying for it. plus if you don't tell your insurers your insurance i think is void.wolvesboy84 wrote:What do you mean mate?

To be honest I'd just like an answer if you can help. I respect your opinons, but as a newbie I feel a little bullied.
Is it class 1 buisiness or something else?

I hope you don't feel bullied.
Why don't you take some advice from people who have done the job over 20 years, don't use your car it aint worth it.
