Manager Spat In My Face - And I Got Sacked

Post by brothermagrew »

Is it any wonder that the CWU are asking or demanding of Royal Mail an Independent Investigation or Inquiry into bullying and harassment.

CWU Voice Magazine September / October 2009 page 7

The female south London delivery worker who addressed the fringe meeting told Voice that she and her two female colleagues had submitted complaints against three managers under the bullying and harassment code, and that the complaints had been upheld, but none of the managers had been dismissed by the company. One of the managers has actually been promoted, while the other two are still employed by Royal Mail as managers. Her own appeal against her dismissal for "performance" issues was held last month and, as Voice went to press, she was still awaiting the result.

Deputy General Secretary Dave Ward insisted the union will demand her full reinstatement and for action to be taken against the manager concerned. "This is a truly shocking story and the CWU will not stand by and allow one of our members to be treated in this way," said Dave.

Sacked for "PERFORMANCE" issues after a MANAGER SPAT IN HER FACE.
"Today’s workplace has become heartless and soulless. Employees are seen as units of labour, automatons, functionaries, objects for achieving designated tasks, and as costs to be minimised."

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I read this article and it was very distrubing, this is strong evidence of bullying and harassment within RM and this article should be sent to all newspapers. These managers should not be working for RM, as usual RM cover-up for their managers again. If this posties was sacked after the incident for poor performance, I would say she has been victimised in order to cover-up this disgraceful incident, shame on you RM it about time the public really know what sort of managers RM employs.
