How can anyone be in any doubt about striking, seeing whats been going on in the talks in just the last few days should have made your mind up. If we don't stand together we won't have a union to turn too, now come on we've had a vote the result was YES to action so lets stick together WE WILL WINrazor wrote:Today was my day off, next Saturday is my day off, I'm relived as to be 100% honest I'm 50/50 whether i would strike or not.

Any strike days should be on the same day of each week to make it fair for everyone regarding days off.

What about offices where staff have a fixed day off?redgateman wrote:Any strike days should be on the same day of each week to make it fair for everyone regarding days off.

Nothing is going to be 100% for everyone, but next weeks 3 day is much better organised than this weeks. We go in on Friday and deliver very little due to the MC's being out Thur-Fri, then strike Saturday so all the mail rolls over to the next week - then cut off Monday, etc etc.

A fixed day off? Never even knew such a thing existed. Does that mean some lucky git always get Saturday off? Where's the fairness in that?OnAFlyer wrote:What about offices where staff have a fixed day off?redgateman wrote:Any strike days should be on the same day of each week to make it fair for everyone regarding days off.

There's no real 'fair' way to do it, SOMEONE will always lose out. I'll be losing out again if next weeks strikes go ahead.

They wanted to change my day off to a strike day but I fought to have the normal day off because I don't want to be a RM statistic, being put down as not striking when I actually am.
