Royal Mail expenses scandal!

Ok,perhaps a slightly over dramatic headline but it works depending the way you take this.

Maybe not in the same vein as our MP friends but it's grating all the same.

Fat cat wages, million pound bonuses, add on a couple of quid for parking,a tenner for unlocking a mobile phone,£4.50 'postage to office' (should of used DSA it's cheaper!),£4.85 for a drink,a £5.47 Snack for working over a 12 hour day and how about this one, £20.50 for taxis,BEFORE you started the job.

Inexpensive expenses
Yet another 'You just couldn't make this stuff up',how much money are theses guys on and they have the gall to put in a petty expenses form.

You know who must of been really busy in Oct 07,can't think what he was doing but Adam Crozier claimed a wallet lightening £124.80 for car parking that month, that's on top of an estimated £10M in wages, bonuses and pension perks since he first started at Royal Mail.

Since 05-to date he has claimed nearly 2 thousand pounds to park his car while on Royal Mail business including one which was £9.00!

Millionaire Mark Higson,£10.00 for unlocking a phone, £4.85 for a drink and £12.50 for car parking,no expenses so far in the last few months, too busy avoiding Billy and Dave no doubt.

Alan Cook, rumoured to have got a £1M bonus for the Post Office hits a year or so ago, likes to subscribe to various websites, like the Chartered Management Institute,£143.00,Chartered Insurance Institute,£153.00,and one called IofD,£295.00,which i can't seem to find any info on but I'm guessing it's one to help him out with his work. He's the dude that claimed a £5.47 snack for working over a 12 hour day.He must of sent a fax that day as he claimed £13.00 for it.

David Burden,he was our IT guy and left the job in July 07,but not before he tried out software for Royal Mail, including one that cost £5.90.In fact he tried quite a bit of software, and at one time paid £5.95 for an Internet Connection.

Tony McCarthy, left Xmas 07,but not before claiming £7.00 for a taxi, and also £80.72 for a lunch meeting in Dec 07,was that his farewell do?

Fair enough if you're out on business and you have to get there and stay overnight, but it's just the thought of theses Millionaires constantly asking for receipts and hoping that when they park their car they have some kind of proof that they did.

And one last nugget,Donald Brydon officially started for Royal Mail in March 09,but whacked in a form for a £20.50 taxi bill in Feb 09.

And old friend Allan Leighton, did not claim anything while he was with us.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Leighton had a number of jobs (going plural was the phrase I think) so I'm sure someone paid for his expenses.
