As one of my favourite programmes used to start with "be careful out there.'' Hill Street Blues a true classic. Using your own vehicles on delivery is a disaster from day one. The car get pinched, you are blamed for not looking after RM property? strange you are now the one at a lose now facing conduct code action. Your involved in a RTA, your are potentially at a lose for using an uninsured vehicle for work purpose. Park the car and walk the walk. If you can't complete your walk in time thats not your problem. Royal Mail bangs on about modernising its about time they gave people the tools for the job, rather than relying upon people to use their own private vehicles as part of of the RM fleet. Imangine the TNT and UK Mail boys being told to use their cars to deliver mail, being 25% less paid?

If we do our jobs properly on our return to work then the knock on effect will last all week, do you not think that will have a greater effect on the powers that be. How come you are willing to lose a days pay to make your statement once a week but when you get the chance of making the same statement each and every day of the week at no cost to yourself you're not interested. That doesn't make sense to me.

You say your union has only asked you to go out one day a week so that's all you're doing, well don't forget WE are the union, it's nothing without its members, so ask around and see what your colleagues think.
If I had left my car at home and had bag drops etc I still wouldnt go over my time. All but 1 on my section use their cars along with our union rep.
If you truly could do your job properly and still get done in time then you are from a very lucky office and very much in the minority. Dare you tell us which office that is. I would say the transfer list will be big but then again with the obvious lack of solidarity and unity within your office I'd rather stay where I am, working amongst friends and people I can trust to look after each other.

As for your CWU Rep using his car on delivery  that's it dude lead by example just like the screws do

Some of us are just compliant stooges for a system geared towards robbing the working class. Anyway, must rush. I've got to get to my BNP branch meeting tonight.
