Is all you can say to todays Press Conference.

The press aren't stupid, this brilliant show of honesty and willingness to settle will do our cause one hell of a lot of good.

Billys point that that the 76% voting for IA were fully aware of the difficult economic circumstances the company faces and so obviously something was seriously wrong was genius.

One thing they need to build upon is this 'something that is wrong' because the public don't know what that is yet. The public need to be told we want a fair, independently assesed workload and the Pegasus system being programmed with 5mph walk speeds needs to be put into the hands of independant experts. The public will understand this.
They will also understand the postie used to deliver 2 bags a day now it's 6-8 bags.
That 60,000 jobs have gone from the buisness.
That workload has trippled since abolition of the second delivery.

Tbh its been a very frustrating last 3 months, in my opinion the CWU have been more than fair & certainly not played any dirty tricks at all. Royal Mail knew in July/August the CWU were prepared to ballot their members, this must be the most drawn out ballot ever - & one that should been done possibly months ago Nationally. However, nevertheless RM & Co have taken things to the point of no return, basically theyve been taking the piss out of us for months. Now the fight begins, you now know what were up against & Dave + Billy last nite vented their anger & frustration at the 3 Musketeers in no better way possible.
RM & CWU Reps Opinion is 'NOT' National Agreement

Which charity does he donate his strike day wages to? Regional reps paid by Royal Mail automatically have their wages stopped when the unit they represent takes industrial action.

All Union officers donate a days wages to the hardship fund when we go on strike. AFAIK its happen on every national strike, and has even happened during the local strikes recently.
