Of course I realise, why do you think I even bother coming on here? If you'd bothered to check you'd know I've had discussions with your colleagues elsewhere on this forum whilst I've tried to understand what the hell this is all about. Do YOU realise that the public is SICK TO DEATH of being used as porns in your arguments with your management? Do YOU realise that the people and businesses you are screwing over with such delight pay your salaries and will ultimately choose to go elsewhere as they won't put up with this crap for much longer? Don't you DARE accuse me of having no backbone because I comment that a few militants being triumphant about screwing over the whole nation in the run up to Christmas is wrong. Your beloved leaders said in their press conference tonight that the public will understand, on the back of saying that more strikes are coming. I guarantee that, after a few weeks of watching stupid men in bobble hats around fires hurling abuse on the news, few people will give a toss about any of you and will happily accept their post from men in orange uniforms who don't hold them to ransom in their own interests. I'm quite sure there are those of you that care about Royal Mail - this is no way to save it. As for your Union leaders, their press conference tonight showed clearly that they have their own obsessions with Peter Mandelsson, their desperate need to deal with the big boys is all they care about, and their egos are far greater than any concern they have for you and that is why they were left with no other choice because the big boys won't phone or email them - and why the hell should they? They've got businesses and countries to run. There are far too many people on here whose response to anyone who dares to disagree with them is a moron. Your organisation will now be privatised, private investment will come in, Royal Mail's importance to the nation will slowly fade away and that breaks my heart. And you're all screwed. It's an absolute tragedy, and yet so many of you are laughing. What a terrible day.kwf166 wrote:Have you any idea why we are striking, it quite clear from your comment, you have absolutely no idea what going,I wish people like you would do a research, rather than making ill inform comments, we are trying to save the post office, we are trying to save our jobs, there are guys right across all the country having their hours cut without any warnings, some even losing their duties, plans to make posties start later like, 9am for example, do you realise that one day, you won't have posties coming to your door, instead you will have to collect your mail, like they do in other countries, instead of listening to what the media say and relying on their judgement, do your own research, and please note we won't get a single penny while we are out on strike, at least us posties have some backbone, unlike people like youCustomerConnieagain wrote:That just about says it all. Priceless obviously been on the Omar thread, and conveniently forgetting one thing, we may be posties we may be in dispute with Royal Mail but we to are members of the public to which she refers.IWW Fellow Worker wrote:CustomerConnieagain wrote:Do YOU realise that the public is SICK TO DEATH of being used as porns in your arguments with your management?

You don't work for Royal Mail, therefore you have never experienced the bullying and harassment , therefore you are ill informed, plus you only seem to care about businesses, in which no doubt you have a vested interest.
If as you say the prospect of the Royal Mail's demise "breaks your heart"
See you on the picket line !!!

Re: strikes to go ahead!
Connie i am so looking forward to you bleating about paying exorbitant prices for our orange friends to deliver your mail.
You are quick to lambast posties for striking, but you offer no alternative.
Perhaps we should just rollover and have our tummies tickled.
Well i for one have not taken my decision to strike lightly, but the truth is if we don't fight for a succesful and fruitful future for OUR SERVICE
it is no exageration to say, withina few years the service we so cherish will be no more.

Re: strikes to go ahead!
I don't see any evidences from your post you realise what is going on, all I see is the same old silly nonsense we keep hearing from the media, good luck collecting your mail from the orange men, as they will charge you alot more than royal mail do, and in some areas you may have to collect your own mail, and don't you dare say postie like me don't care, as I you are so wrong, why do you think thousands like me will be striking without no pay,do you not realise we are putting our morgages at risk, to help save royal mail, if we didn't care, I would be going into work on friday, and let the royal mail bosses carry out their disaster plans to destroyed royal mail forever, is that what you wantCustomerConnieagain wrote:Of course I realise, why do you think I even bother coming on here? Apologies, I accused you of blocking me because I couldn't post when you were having a clean-up - bad timing on my part as well as bad spelling.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Topic was locked to delouse a few posts- Topic now open - but keep it polite and report trolls please.
I'm not a Sun reader, I'm not a Tory, I'm not a troll, I'm not RM management, I'm not Mandy (God forbid). You won't have the public's backing, particularly with RM management saying on Sky tonight that your union can go now and sign the wording that was agreed last night which called the strike off and clearly the Union aren't going to be popping round for a cuppa to sign the paperwork any time soon. I don't want to believe that what RM is saying is true. Earlier I sat through Billie & Dave's performance and wanted to believe it. But surely if RM are lying it will be proven? Someone is lying, that's for sure, and right now it looks like the Union negotiators agreed something which didn't have Union support rather than senior RM Management didn't agree. RM will now publish the wording of the supposedly 'agreed words' tomorrow and the strike will look even worse.
But maybe you're right and I'm wrong. Certainly you all know more about the issues than I do.
As I said in a previous post, I can't think of one example of when a national strike like this has ever worked. You (the postal workers) will get the abuse, and we (the customers) will bear the inconvience, it will drag on, workers' will not be able to afford to take a 20% pay cut on an ongoing basis and will drift back to work by which time the public will have no sympathy left. I don't believe the public are tolerant of strikes anymore regardless of the cause, so many of the working population weren't around for strikes in the past and don't even understand the concept. And a few idiots celebrating the prospect of a day in the pub hardly helps.
Anyway sorry for accusing you of something which you hadn't done. Good luck with it all.

Yes you are quite right and we asre completely wrong. To save the public a little inconvenience (even though nobody uses us any more apparently)we should sit back and watch our jobs go part time just so some spivs can get huge bonuses.CustomerConnieagain wrote:Apologies, I accused you of blocking me because I couldn't post when you were having a clean-up - bad timing on my part as well as bad spelling.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Topic was locked to delouse a few posts- Topic now open - but keep it polite and report trolls please.

I will ask the question once more
Do you in your business give your goods products services away for nothing, or do you charge for them? Thought not.
If Royal Mail charge for their goods, why should we work for Free?
How much more cutting back can this country take. Once you ran a business to speculate to accumulate. Now its run a company on a shoe string and sod the staff. The owners take all the cream. Adam Crozier for example and he sucks! :cfo :cfo :cfo
It was RM staff that helped them make a profit this year for the first time in 20 years and as a thank you its bonuses for them and FA for us. :cfo :cfo :cfo :cfo
