OK.
I work (delivery) in a Scottish mail centre with processing and delivery all in the same building.
Question 1) Does that mean that "I am on strike" on Thursday this week and turn up on Friday as usual and on Friday the processing people will be on strike?
Question 2) Doesn't that mean that on Friday I have to cross the processing staff's picket?
Sorry for stupid questions but I am not in the union so no one has told me anything about dates.

Re: Another question about the strikes
So all mail centres with delivery inside will be delivering mail on Friday while the rest of us are striking? That can't be right?

Re: Another question about the strikes
reading this thread has confused me somewhat...
I work in a DO and understand that I'm on strike on Friday - right?

What will posties be doing on Thursday? I know our office get's its mail bought in from Tonbridge every morning. If the drivers are striking does that mean no mail and hence nothing for us to deliver? Will they send us home that morning?

Re: Another question about the strikes
No point in talking if they ain't gonna listen. Meeting arranged tonight brilliant speaker organised but very disappointing turn out, the unconverted don't bother showing up even if it was at the gate in their meal relief, and they won't allow themselves to believe that what they are told is the truth!collectionsarebest wrote:the more threads im seeing on this sort of subject the more cross i am getting wtf are the reps doing in these offices, they should be talking to there people, arrrrggghhhh

I guess the managers will be bringing whatever has been sorted out to you and you will spend the rest of the day tidying the office.lew1275 wrote:What will posties be doing on Thursday?
