Does this mean 4 metres from OMV's if they use same carpark as they're classed as a workplace?
Chances are your DOM wont think of that, but your rep has to have a talk with him to agree where it can be done.

smoking ban!

Post by garythepost »

as a smoker of many years i think a ban is mad and those people that say we are costing nhs millions just think of the billions smokers give nhs in taxes. my manager smokes and i bet he dont go off the premises when he wants a smoke!

As long you or your Manager smoke 4 metres away from a window or entrance from your building you do'nt have to go off site, you may pay loads in taxes it is your choice to smoke, it is also my right not to breath second hand smoke.

The site manager has banned smoking from everywhere on the site apart from private cars or outside the main gates to the site.

Could this be classed as discrimination against someone who doesn't have a car?

Will also have to check the H & S aspect as to standing by the main gates with all the traffic we get. :hmmmm
