get it posted on any fourms your members of aswell as people will read it and it will get the message over on a bigger stage. Plus might get people on here and they can read other reports about what is going on.

Re: We Don't want to strike Home page
Why cannot the Union send this via e-mail to as many companies as possible, I say e-mail because the financial implecations for sending this out would be impossible.
If we are going to be succesful in our campain to save this industry we do really need to get public and bussines support along the way.
It will be difficult I know for one as most of the tabloids are campaining against us and the cwu.

FORGET IT!
way way way way..........way too wordy. I lost interest after 1st paragraph. Anything like this needs to be SNAPY and largely involve bullit points.

Re: We Don't want to strike Home page
The reason we are where we are is because we bloodied the noses of the Governmant and RM by delaying (that's all it was cos the tories WILL privatise RM if they get in, god forbid) part privatisation. It was pressure from the CWU and us talking to OUR customers that helped deliver that outcome. But financially the "keep the post public" campaign cost the union dear and I don't think they could fund this. Maybe a means to fund it could be that a CWU members make a small donation on top union subs?
As a starting point IMHO a good strategy would be to send a copy of "We don't want to strike" text (or better still a version as described by opgpat) to your constituancy MP, your euro MP, your local county councillor, your local city/town councillor and you local newspaper.
Also spread the word verbally to OUR customers and let our work mates know about this forum, cos I don't think many do.

Please sir can I have more?

I'd happily edit it down to make it readily accessable while still containing the important details. Would anyone know how to turn the result into a 'viral email'? You know the type, you get people forwarding them to all their contacts so that it ends up hundreads of thousands of people see it? Like the George 'Bushisms' email?

What also could have been added unless I have misread, is the issue of integrity of mail (the customers mail) and the continued use of private cars on delivery with which many will not have proper insurance cover for.

Just email the link with a covering description - let the Journo's and chat show hosts pick out the pertinent points. I have it on good authority that a copy is on the way to Jeremy Vineopgpat wrote:I'd happily edit it down to make it readily accessable while still containing the important details.
