The Daily Mail is right this happens all the time. My son is a postman in the IP11 part of Suffolk.
The manger cut out so many hours, just so he could get his bonus. Now there is not no postman to do the packets.
So the phg who works inside the office full out the forms & the postman dev them with the post.
I don`t know if this still go on us my son do not work there no more.

Re: I Urge you to NOT buy the Daily Mail
Of course, today I happened to be driving by a house that I'd P739d earlier so I decided to stop and see if they where in (to save them a trip and me the hassle of putting it back into the system) and they where.
PS. I heard that the Daily Mail has managed to get over 1000 complaints over it's story about Stephen Gatley http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2009/oc ... complaints" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The Mail also said last week that 120 thosand posties are going on strike yet only 61 thousanf voted yes (or nerrinuff)bandit650 wrote:Sorry find that offensive,just today i have like many other staff have had so many packets for thier delivery that we are using a bag plus for just one road so you can imagine how many bags are being used,most of us are booking o/t on top to book packets in to the office on return,as for the students i come from a city where there are 3 universitys and 2 colleges and if the students could be bothered to get up to answer thier doors it would make a change,i had a student say to me yesterday would i mind not disturbing them that earley it was 14.30 in the afternoon,we leave all packets at the pick up info desk for halls of resident for students, not bring them back its only outside students that give us massive problems.I gave up getting a paper because of the rubbish that was in them and looking at that im glad.
and
They reckoned we take one 15Kg bag out too.
No mention thos of the reason Mail is dropping off (oh yes it is) (Oh no it aint) (Must be treu cos Crozier says so) is cos all the post offices have either moved or shut. If I go into a shop and que up all day I give up and walk away. Their loss.

Re: I Urge you to NOT buy the Daily Mail
I had 9- 16kg bags on friday the reason was because had i like others follow the bag weight matrix set by Royal Mail we would have had to have our mail sent up in trays and yorks to our bag drops.There would not have been enough bags in the office,HCT'S are going out and they can not fit all the delivery in it,so they have taken to sending bags out to drops for the HCT staff to fill up and carry on.
Another little factor that is really annoying at the moment,when they talk about traffic going down doing a nose dive,well not according to the traffic figures for the office its 20,000 up for the same period last year and the packets are coming out of our ears the figure are well up on last year,so Royal Mail whos telling the lies now,not the posties.
