When confronted simply ask him such things as do I have to keep within the speed limits at all times whilst driving a Royal Mail vehicle?

Do I have to wear a seatbelt every time I drive?

Do I always have to place the PDA in glove compartment when I leave the vehicle if not required?

And question the rest of the below:

Always return the PDA back to its cradle when I return to the vehicle.
Always switch off the engine when I leave the vehicle.
Always remove the keys from the ignition when I leave the vehicle.
Always lock the vehicle when I leave the vehicle.
Hazard lights on when required.
Always work from the rear of the vehicle, (only have the one bundle of mail I’m working from in the front)
Always use paths, never cut across gardens.
Never step over small fences, hedges etc.
Never door step anything.
If on such items it suggests ‘if not in please leave with neighbour’, then I will try and do just that.
Never flick through my bundle of mail whist walking, I always do so at the door.
Don’t rush but maintain a good average speed through out.

Doubt he will agree but if he does then (as Geezer stated) get him to put it down in writing!

He won't. So then ask him what do you want me to do?

If he says carry on delivering like you normally did.

Start again, do I have to keep within the speed limits at all times whilst driving a Royal Mail vehicle?

Do I have to wear a seatbelt every time I drive?

And so on...

ALWAYS make sure they make the decision on what to do and what not to do (witnessed)

Peterborough delivery managers have started taking pay away due to CWU members unable to complete their allocated workload, some issues over counting of mail with manager and members coming with vastly different figures have occured as well so im told.

That's why i said to say to your Dom that in the current climate and with all the disciplines going on you feel unable to carry on doing your job as you used to and feel you have no choice but to follow the rules as laid down by RM.
The Dom will properly say as mine did that you are taking unofficial industrial action, .I then told him i was quite happy to carry on as before if he could reassure me i would not get into any trouble if caught. He said i wouldn't at which point i asked him to put it in writing so if he was off or i was pulled up on it i could show i had permission from him.Well Guess what he said he wasn't prepared to do that as it would be his neck on the line if i got caught, next step Rep came and
i repeated what i said before and in front of the Rep the Dom said that we all should be doing the job properly as it was RM policy. The Rep then said fine should he carry on the Dom said yes and we left it there.Since Then no more has been said except that i need to tell him each day before i go out if i think i can't complete my duty.

thanks for al your help so far guys :cool
Hand the grievance to your rep to post off to your DIMS cluster manager and get him to put on the back your D/O and cwu rep. Some how when you do it this way it gets heard in about a week and doesnt go missing. DO NOT HAND IT BACK TO YOUR DIM and keep a copy for your own records

Can i add to that. My rep also advised me to ring RM help and tell them as they will then put it on record so it can't get swept under the carpet, and to ring the CWU B&H line as well
