Just introduced: all walks for part time staff on 20/25 hours must be prepped by all full time staff.

our office has sunk. there's work every where. at a guess i'd say there's about 5 day's worth of work in the office. boss didn't even come out of his office untill we were ready to go out and he had to do some drop off's.

We have 8 staff employed part time permanant they are to replace full time staff,they already have staff that are part time whos contracts have not been renewed but have been employed for 8 months or more with no contract,they were on temp contracts.This is now an on going disagreement which is going up to area level.
They have decided that we need to loose more hours,they have already taken 6 walks out but are looking for more,they have done peggie 2 on us and this has caused major problems as walks were haveing problems before we had this last remix,walks are even bigger and no real planning has been done,the planning team were present but i think they could have been using rose tinted glasses looking at the mess they have left behind,chocolate t-pot comes to mind it was just an exercise to slash even more hours out.
They have done some sort of revision on the firms duties which has caused major clashes with the staff who do them as 2 dutys seem to be right 2 are so over the top its got silly then there is 2 that are clearly taking the mick,what have they done abot this nout thats what but it has caused some very bad feelings,the other thing is that the back biting between town duty and bulk packet duty has become so strained that arguments break out daily very tiring and upsetting,some of us have been mates for a long time but now some are not even on speaking terms
The rurual section has not been touched but seems to be like the family silver oh must not do any thing to them as it is so busy and its hard going over there they need to be treated with kid gloves,so as you can probably work out it has caused a massive problem,we are very diffrent we have a large rurual section and im not saying that all are taking the rise but a few are and they are the ones that will drop the majority of staff in the muck.
The whole thing is that the hours are going to be taken out,they are just going to keep on with exec action no agreement on anything,the managers seem to be getting some sort of kick out of it but the town staff are so low half the people who live here dont get mail everyday they get it every other,managers dont care what is happening and that includes all the ALT'S of packets that are left on walks on a daily basis and the mail that is left everyday.Full time staff will be sorting these walks that are going part time and will cover other work maybe thier own walk that they have now but they will not be doing thier own duty on a daily basis,work that out.
