So whats on the unions agenda today after last nights "newsnight"programme.I would hope questions will be asked in the house by those back benchers that support us,i think most of the papers are reporting on the leaked document,i would like to think it'll get Royal Mail back around the table for talks with the involvement of acas,but i wont hold my breath,i think RM will wait until the strike next week to gauge what sort of support there is.

Other unions should be sickened and worried,because if we as a union are crushed by RM & the Government,it could be the start of a domino effect for other less powerful unions out there.

Billy said on 5live this morning that a senior manager had confirmed to him that the document was genuine. Whether we'll get to see the contents is another matter.

Seriously though, why do workers expect such a large share of cost savings, it seems unrealistic.

Cost savings should be be passed onto to the customers, and make the postal service competitive, not be used to inflate workers pay packets.

royal mail made a big profit so why should'nt the people who made it so get the rewards.,by your recent comments are you a manager in disguise.

They shouldnt get the rewards of cost savings because they are ALREADY getting paid a fair wage for doing a good job.

People shouldnt get extra just because they are doing away with inefficient practices

Its disgraceful that for decades these out of date practices were able to to persist because people were too afraid to take on the unions

And no, Im not a manager. These are my views as a consumer. At the end of the day consumers deserve a decent service for reasonable cost. They do not deserve to be forced to stump up to keep feathering the nests of long term union men

No, the dodges and wheezes that the posties get up to were told me by a youngish (in his 20's) postie in the mid nineties.

I accept that some of these practices may alreday have been stamped out, but there are more to go yet.
