Its my day off but i will still go and join my picket line.I am 24,been in the job since left school,we need to win this and we will.I hate when people who are in the union choose to go into work rather than support fellow members.I have learned from my office that if you were to cross a picket line,then you really are scum....just like these :cfo :mfo

Dont forget to do the job right on saturday,come in on time and dont do ot.... I love seeing my dim out on duties.

Many in my office will cross the line. As they couldnt give a s**t ,apathy well and truly set in at my office. i for one will never ever cross a picket line. Form one yes cross one no. 100 years ago our forefathers would have stood firm and must be turning in their graves at the thought of the countless spineless selfish arsehole excuse for a working man that form the beast that is a scab. How on earth are we going to make an effect and get through to Royal Mail bosses, if we continue to break the picket lines, what the point of having a union,if you going to do this? where the support? your stabbing each other in the back guys unfortunately and sadly to say quite a few at my office are going in regardless of the vote, it put me in a difficult position, if the majority at my work return to work, I give up,I really do, but I won't be going in, I know it going to hit me in the pocket, but I have principles, and I plan to stick to them, and the thing is if we not careful, we won't have a union, you guys are playing into royal mail hands, wait till they have full power, if you think you going to get any brownie points from them, think again

Anyone working in london would have thought that after all these strikes that their would have been a drift back by now, but that is not the case. The strikes have been very very well surported in all areas. The numbers working nationaly, judging by whats happening here in london will be far less then in 2007. I think most postmen now know that this strike and the issues around it are worse then in 2007 if thats possible and we can't and won't back down.

hI all I work in a very small rural office..very clicky !!

Its more a case of if I dont go in I will feel like a cast out ..
Its very difficult as everyone in this DO has there own little scams going on (wont go into them on here).. cutting off is unheard of in our DO and O/T is only paid to the chosen few .even our union rep doesn`t want to go out on strike (but will) his heart isnt in it anymore and says hes fighting a losing battle ..

So sad really i`m new to RM ( 2 years) and cannot believe what goes on ,how rules can be changed to suit,how many lies are told ,how badly certain staff are treated..The pay structure and bonus system is a complete joke.

I`m pretty sure of one thing though.. I wont be here much longer life is too short and I dont need all the stress that goes with this job..

Im not sure about what to do this time. 2years ago i crossed for what i thought was the right reasons for me but no it just seems to be 1 thing after another at our place. Im only part time doing 18 hours per week but losing money for the consistent battle between the CWU and Royal Mail i just hope its over soon cos we postal worker are in the lose-lose situation i think and tearing each other apart with insults isnt to help ppl chosen what to right for there office it will just divide the office even more.

If ppl cos the line i will still be talking to them the same way i do now but im not gonna insult them behind there back i would rather do it to there face

I have never crossed a picket line in my life and I am not about to start now.The trade union movement is bigger than your office rep or Dave Ward or whatever.There is a history and a lot of respect needs to be shown to genereations that fought (and died) so we can be in the position to choose whether we strike or not.I am sure a lot of people regard pickets as the loony left trying to relive Orgreave or Wapping or Grunswick or Tolpuddle,but you have to choose which side you are on.Are you a management lackey or are you human?

I think you will find Royal Mail have denied you a full time contract, just like they have for the tens of thousands who have joined in the last 5 years or so. This is what is wrong with our office, split in 2, with the majority part time and as you can see some extremely bitter. If you want to cross the picket line along with the others then do so but do you honestly think the job will be better without the CWU..........

The majority again will be out next Friday like we have been in sunny South London from day one,i just can't believe the amount of defeatists on here that haven't even been out yet.Hope this country does'nt go to war because we don't stand a chance in hell.
