The word 'Volunteer' disappeared a long time ago, managers and support staff are directed to support the operation.

There is no guidance from the CMA whatsoever and it is a well known fact that in some areas if a manager refused to 'support' the operation then he would be victimised by senior managers with little support from a trade union which has no backbone or idea of doing what is morally right. The form that such victimisation would take would be poor markings leading to IPP, in itself a difficult form of harassment to prove at a tribunal.

There are issues (not all) which affect nearly all employees and the CMA should be instructing its members as a minimum NOT to do postal duties, ideally CMA members should be balloted for industrial action (although we know where that would lead). I take no pleasure from crossing picket lines and have only been surprised at the restraint that has been shown by postal staff.

Mandleson is pulling Croziers strings and he doesn't even have the bottle to come out and be honest about it. Customers are the innocent victims in all this and as a company we are losing business that we may never get back.

budfrog you echo everything we are saying but i am afraid if we all took your view, that being the one of the victim then where would it all end? the only tool the working man has at his disposal is withdrawl of labour, and even that is getting harder to do as legislation is eating away at that basic human right, and once again the murdoch led wolves spin the lie that the working man is lazy, idle and greedy and should be glad to have a job, well f**k that lets get the gloves off and "lets get ready to rumble"
