Our office has had that many hours ripped out it that we've got managers cutting and tipping and even putting trays of mail out in the mornings :mad

I`ll personally never forget the day we signed the saturday allowance away for the carrot of 180? quid.
The next saturday there was boatloads of shite.

I dont think any of us are really that bothered about the reddies, its the conditions and the way we are being treated were bothered about.
 How true--it is about the conditions we are striking for this time---I feel ashamed to be British when and working for what is essentially a Government Organisation ---it is beyond belief that they get away with this.

Management have to made accountable to some sort of governing body as to the way they treat staff. They can not continue to act in this manner put that in agreement aswell.

If nothink is put in the agreement to address this problem its not going away and will only get worse after we have reached an agreement.

An R/M leopard can not change its spots without strong persuasion from an outside body whos of an independent view.

It's true that none of us ON HERE are bothered about the reddies, but unfortunately, it's the short-term thinkers who get even a whiff of a lump sum payment who vote for crap deals. And that's true regardless of whether those people voted for or against strike action in the first ballot.

Your point about the Saturday allowance confirms this.

Tell some people in our office that RM want to take away £20/wk ex-PHG money, but will give you a £500 lump sum, and as sure as eggs is eggs, some would vote for it. You could tell them til you're blue in the face that the allowance they'd lose is worth twice as much every year as the 'bung' and they would still vote to lose it, especially if the payout would come just before Xmas :arrrghhh
