Postman Mike Izzard has become a YouTube hit after being filmed by colleagues moonwalking at a sorting office to Michael Jackson’s classic song Billie Jean.
The Hertfordshire delivery man is filmed recreating Jackson’s dance moves while at work at a Royal Mail depot in St Albans.
Recorded earlier this year, the clip has already attracted more than 3,000 views after being posted on YouTube and Mr Izzard has been able to sell copies on DVD to raise money for the RSPCA.
The clip shows the postman, who delivers mail in Welwyn Garden City, wearing a Jacko-style hat.
Mr Izzard, a fan of the singer, told his local newspaper, the Welwyn and Hatfield Times: "MJ was the best thing on this planet, now he's the brightest star in the sky."
"I'm sure MJ would love this dance being used for helping animals.
"He loved them as much as children because, unlike adults, they would not hurt him."
Meanwhile, a walkout by postal staff in London is due to start, amid the spectre of a much more crippling national strike.
Thousands of Communication Workers Union (CWU) members in the city are stopping work for 24 hours today in the latest of a wave of regional stoppages.
It comes after postal workers' leaders made last-ditch attempts to avert a national walkout, warning earlier this week they would have "no option" than to press ahead with action if a bitter row over pay, jobs and conditions is not settled in the next few days.
