It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

It is your free time are you going to let some "manager" manage your free time as well!.
No.

I just want to know the repercussions in advance.
I attended the picket line during the 2007 strikes and 2 days off those I was on annual leave and nothing was said by management. Others were on the picket line on their day off and again nothing was said.

It was mentioned to me aswell  as our last strike day was my day off and I spent all day on the picket line.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

You can attend as an observer and show your support - don't wear uniform and don't don a picket line ta-bard/arm band and you'll be fine.

In 2007 I attended every picket line including my days off, I also went onto the gate they day before 1 strike, on my day off and handed out leaflets, You are and will be outside RM property so there is nothing they can do - he is just using scare tactics.

I i think it could be different if you are on sick leave though, i am at the moment and don't think it would be a good move to attend a picket line.
