Of course cuts in Royal Mail would be very easy if the BNP got their way. About a fifth of the workforce would be removed for being black, or Asian or Polish or any of the other racist reasons the BNP insists on. And as for the union, fascists have always been the sworn enemies of trade unions. The BNP article actually has no flavour of the dispute - it's written by toffs like Nick Griffin from afar. Postal workers should have noting to do with them. We shouldn't forget Griffin said, "It's well known that the chimneys from the gas chambers at Auschwitz are fake, built after the war ended." Personally I will be protesting outside the BBC on 22 October over their invite to a fascist to use the airwaves to spread their poison.

It's a shame that the so called Free Press seems to have a hidden agenda to suppress the truth, and the Fascist BNP tells it how it is!!

Sorry, this is just another case of the BNP trying to pose as a respectable political party on issues of the day.

Just like they tried jumping on the bandwagon at the time of the Lindsey Oil Refinery unofficial strikes early this year, because people were throwing Gordon Brown's words about "British jobs for British workers" back at him. The BNP tried to whip up racism about foriegn workers there, but were chased off the picket lines.

The Lindsey strikers weren't blaming the Italian workers for taking their jobs, but blaming the British bosses who were trying to undercut their wages by employing foreign workers on worse pay rates and terms and conditions. The answer was for all workers to be paid the same, and on the same contracts, wherever they come from, and for the employers to stick to national agreements covering the industry.

The threat to our jobs and the service we provide isn't from the Dutch or the Germans. It is from the very British politicians of the Labour Party (and the very British Tories if they get in) wanting to privatise Royal Mail. It is from the very British institution called Postcomm which has rigged the market to encourage British firms to shift to Downstream Access.

What we don't need is any help from closet Fascists to fight for our jobs and the postal service.

If they come anywhere near my picket line they be told to f#@k off before they get a kicking.

i must admit to great amusement when i read that the B.N.P is racist especially by the labour luvvies on here,when this country is involved in 2 illegal wars and has killed god knows how many thousands of Iraqis and Afghans,not to mention over 200 British personnel and an undisclosed number of wounded.

Now now peeps please stay on Topic - this is a thread about an article from the BNP - we don't need or even want it to digress into whether or not the BNP are racists for 2 reasons.

1. We are not a BNP site and unless it directly affects Postal Workers we are not interested, just like we don't put articles on here from SNP about fishing.

2. Whether you think the BNP are racists or not won't change because of something someone posts on here, we have all made our minds up one way or another already.

There are some inaccuracies in the article

For example, TNT is attempting to operate in Germany and Deutschepost under a subsidiary are operating in Holland.

Also the author conveniently mentions profits in 04/05 and loses in 07/08 and their point is? One of the reasons for the profit in 04/05 was SDD/MC/TR and MHR all employee cutting projects. I am not saying that top management massage the figures to achieve their targets, but there are underlying reasons for profits and losses. It's when the accumulate that is the worry.

The article does hint correctly at the paradox between being a private business and a public service, and the two are currently showing to be incompatible.

As for private companies setting access prices this is not true. These access are prices are set independently.

If these leeching private companies could setup alternative delivery and do it themselves commercially then they would, but they can't which means they rely on the only USO End-to-end service which is Royal Mail. As this is why you the postie as strike and hold them to ransom. You just have to hold out longer than they do.

Only joined the site today and i find it quite disturbing that some people are courting the support of these racist nutcases. My first read was from the administraters about being carefull about what you post as the media are watching ...Supporting the BNP will go down well won't it? The thing is everybody is entitled to an opinion, the BNP is a legal legitimate political party which won 1 million votes in the european elections, so with growing support and some sensible policies its not going away any time soon, anyway as TBT says lets keep on topic.
